Information

When the missionaries first came to the community of Fort Albany, there was no school yet until they built one.
There were only three buildings: the rectory, nuns’ residence and the church. Later on, the children were schooled at
the rectory. I know this because I also went to school there. A small room was put aside just for that purpose. There
were a few students, including 16 boys and girls. I don’t remember seeing your mother at that time. I remember she
did go to school at the same school. I can’t recall when she was there but I do remember her outside the school.
I don’t remember what year your mother attended the school.
