Information

It’s a fact, once a child was born, they were named immediately. My grandfather and father were already knowledgeable about the rituals of baptism even while we were out on the land to name and baptise the child with holy water. For my father and grandfather to my knowledge, the missionaries had already taught them what to do. I’m not aware of any rituals prior to this. My grandfather never mentioned them. However, he did mention people respected courtship long ago.
